Speaker Requirements and Guidelines

To join us as a speaker at OEB (Online Educa Berlin) on 2-4 December 2026, make sure to submit your proposal by 29 May 2026.

We will let you know about the result of your submission by September. Please make sure that emails from @oeb.global are part of the “allow list” in your email programme, so that you do not miss any future messages.

Once your submission has been accepted, you will need to register as speaker at the reduced participation rate of 495 EUR excl. VAT, which includes the speakers’ reception on Wednesday evening, lunches and coffee breaks on Thursday and Friday. Kindly note, that you will also need to ensure sufficient funding to cover your travel and accommodation costs.

Once your submission has been accepted, you will be asked to upload your photo and bio and review the presentation title and synopsis within our speaker system. This will allow us to include your contribution on the conference website and in the MyOEB conference app.

Should you have any questions or difficulties submitting, you can always contact us at @email.

If you represent a commercial organisation with an interest in engaging with our audience, please note that proposals with a promotional, marketing, or dissemination focus will not be forwarded to the review committee. Instead, you are requested to book a Sponsorship package that includes a masterclass or presentation on the agenda. For more details, please contact @email.

What makes a conference proposal and contribution innovative and engaging? A few guiding principles:

  • It is grounded and inspiring. The strongest proposals combine vision with concrete experience. Case studies, pilots and lived examples make ideas tangible and show how they can be adapted or replicated in other contexts.
  • It is timely and transferable. Contributions should address current challenges while remaining applicable across sectors, learning environments and professional settings. Relevance and adaptability increase value for a diverse audience.
  • It is genuinely interactive. Well-received sessions are designed around clear learning objectives and active participation. They invite dialogue, reflection and exchange, creating space for shared exploration rather than one-way presentation.

In the submission form, you will be able to provide detailed information in the section "synopsis" and "participant benefits". Evaluators and participants will rely on these details, so please be descriptive and outline:

  • How your proposal is relevant to the event themes, audience and purpose
  • How it will stimulate thinking and prompt discussion and debate
  • The challenge/problem it addresses and why this proves to be an innovative approach, method or solution
  • The outcomes from attending for your audience; information which will be most useful for participants in their working environments

Should your proposal be accepted, the Programme Committee may offer guidance and recommendations regarding its content and the format in which it is scheduled, to ensure that sessions are as interactive, practical and engaging as possible. Should you have a preferred OEB format or want to propose a new format, you will be able to outline that in the submission form.
